Mumbai: The inaugural academic initiative under the collaboration between P. D. Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre and King’s College London was launched on May 16, 2025.

The underlying strategic services agreement was signed in April 2024 between P. D. Hinduja Hospital, King’s College London, and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation.

The collaboration aims to deliver training in clinical and non-clinical areas for doctors and nurses, support research capacity building, and offer executive education for healthcare professionals in India and the UK.

The stated inaugural initiative is a 12-week Clinical Nursing Leadership program for senior nursing professionals in India.

The Clinical Nursing Leadership course is delivered by faculty from the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care at King’s College London.

As stated by the hospital, the course is structured as a hybrid program and combines online and in-person sessions.

Participants include nurses currently in senior leadership roles at P. D. Hinduja Hospital.

According to the hospital, the curriculum is designed to strengthen clinical knowledge as well as leadership and strategic management skills for healthcare settings.

The teaching faculty includes educators and practitioners from King’s College London with expertise in clinical nursing, adult care, mental health, and pedagogy.

The stated aim of the program is to support professional development in nursing through international academic collaboration.

Future initiatives under the partnership include joint research programs, use of digital technologies in healthcare, and scholarships for students in biomedical and imaging sciences.
