AIIMS Raipur Teams Up with Bilaspur Hospital to Elevate Local Healthcare Services, ETHealthworld

Raipur: The govt super specialty hospital in Bilaspur signed an MoU with AIIMS Raipur on Monday to enhance healthcare services.

The partnership will provide training, advanced medical exposure, collaborative research, and telemedicine support, enabling patients in Bilaspur to access high-level treatment locally without depending on bigger cities.

Dr Bhanu Pratap Singh, the Medical Superintendent, stated that the agreement will allow doctors and paramedics from Bilaspur to receive training and experience the latest medical technologies at a world-class institution like AIIMS. This will enhance the hospital’s research and treatment capabilities and provide citizens with top-tier health facilities in their own city.

Dr Singh mentioned that he closely observed the working of AIIMS Raipur and prepared a plan to develop similar facilities at the Bilaspur hospital.

He added that both Chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Health minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal made it a clear priority for people to get high-level healthcare in their home districts without having to rely on bigger cities. He called the MoU a “milestone” for state’s health sector and said the govt is working to strengthen public health facilities.

AIIMS Raipur’s Executive Director Lt Gen (retd) Dr Ashok Jindal assured that AIIMS would provide every possible assistance to the Bilaspur hospital’s doctors, nurses, and staff through clinical training, faculty exchange, collaborative research, telemedicine services, and multi-centric studies.
