Spices Board cancels Koko Spices’ cardamom e-auctioneer licence

The Spices Board has decided to cancel the cardamom e-auctioneer licence of  Koko Spices Pvt Ltd, citing repeated violations of the Cardamom (Marketing & Licensing) Rules, 1987.

The 2023–2026 licence is being revoked as the firm has ignored multiple regulatory notices. The violations have disrupted lawful trading and affected authorised auctioneers and cardamom growers, said a press release.

Before the cancellation, the board invited cardamom growers and dealers with pending dues or claims against the firm to submit them in writing to the Director (Marketing), along with supporting documents, within 15 days. Claims received after the deadline will not be considered. Authorities will cancel the licence and release the company’s bank guarantee after reviewing the submissions.
