Satyukt Analytics gets patent for its soil nitrogen estimation technology using satellite data

Satyukt Analytics, the Bengaluru-based agri-tech firm said Wednesday that it has secured a patent for its technology to estimate soil nitrogen using satellite data.

This patent marks a major milestone in Satyukt Analytics’ journey to revolutionize precision agriculture by making advanced, data-driven insights accessible to farmers, agri-enterprises, and policymakers across India and beyond, the company said in a statement.

The patented method enables accurate estimation of soil nitrogen content using satellite data reducing the need for costly and time-consuming field sampling.

This breakthrough innovation supports farmers in optimizing fertilizer usage, improving crop yields, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices, the company said. Traditional sampling methods took time and effort, often with inconsistent results.

Levarging remote sensing

Sat Kumar Tomer, Co-Founder and CEO of Satyukt Analytics, said, “At Satyukt, our mission has always been to transform agriculture through innovation and science. This patent reinforces our commitment to developing technology that not only empowers farmers with actionable insights but also contributes to sustainable resource management at scale.”

Founded in Bengaluru, Satyukt Analytics leverages remote sensing, AI, and cloud computing to deliver real-time soil, crop, and weather insights through its platforms and APIs. With this patent, the company further strengthens its intellectual property portfolio and leadership in satellite-powered agricultural intelligence.
