Sarveshwar Foods arm signs rice sourcing pact worth ₹174 cr

Singapore-based Green Point Pte, a subsidiary of Sarveshwar Foods has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Rice Exporters Federation to ensure a consistent supply of premium Indian rice in global markets.

Under the terms of the MoU, both parties have expressed their intent to explore commercial arrangements for the procurement and export of 50,000 tonne of Indian rice worth $20 million (about ₹174 crore) on a Cost and Freight basis.

The proposed export order reflects the growing international demand for high-quality Indian rice including Parboiled Rice (40,000 tonne) and White Rice (10,000 tonne).

The shipments are intended for key global destinations including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, USA, Cote d’Ivoire, China, UK, Benin, South Africa, Senegal, Kenya, Cameroon, and the Netherlands, highlighting the growing international demand for high-quality Indian rice.

The MoU outlines mutual intentions regarding product quality, due diligence, compliance with export-import regulations and good-faith consultations for future definitive agreements.

Rohit Gupta, Chairman, Sarveshwar Foods said the collaboration will ensure consistent supply of premium Indian rice to international clientele.

India’s expertise in rice cultivation and processing aligns perfectly with the Group’s vision to serve diverse global markets, he said.
