The New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) will highlight Karnataka’s maritime capabilities, sustainable port development initiatives, digital transition pathways, and emerging investment opportunities at the India Maritime Week (IMW) 2025.

IMW 2025 will be organised in Mumbai from October 27 to October 31. NMPA will be participating in the event along with other industries from coastal Karnataka.

AV Ramana, NMPA Chairman, will participate in the Karnataka state session titled ‘Exploring PPP synergies for a sustainable blue economy’, a dialogue focused on harnessing public-private partnerships to drive sustainable growth across ports, fisheries, coastal infrastructure, and marine innovation. The session aims to explore collaborative models that blend policy, technology, and community engagement to unlock responsible investments and long-term value creation for coastal economies.

Discussions in this roundtable will focus on investment priorities, regulatory enablers, world-class port development, growth in coastal shipping and inland waterways, expansion of shipbuilding and repair capacity, cruise tourism potential, maritime services, skilling, and port-led industrialisation.
