National Champion Tyler Weaver Shot Dead in Front of Fiancée During Home Break-In

Tyler Weaver, 25, a two-time Maxxis Kart Racing National Champion, was shot and killed inside his Forest City, North Carolina home during a “targeted” home invasion, police say. Weaver’s fiancée, Nevaeh Quintero, survived and called 911 as two armed men — Quitez Watkins (35) and Jaquavious Craig (26) — opened fire before fleeing the scene. Authorities later confirmed the attack was part of a “robbery gone bad.” Both suspects have been captured and charged with first-degree murder. Family, friends, and the Maxxis Racing community mourn the young champion, remembered for his kindness, humility, and love of racing.
