Nangia Andersen Exits Andersen Global, Becomes Fully Domestic Firm, ETCFO

Nangia Andersen India Pvt Ltd has decided to end its affiliation with Andersen Global and operate as a fully domestic firm, a person aware of the development told ETCFO.

According to the source, the decision marks a complete separation from Andersen Global, the international association of independent tax and advisory firms. “Nangia has decided to be a fully domestic firm now,” the person said, requesting anonymity.

No public announcement has yet been made by either Nangia Andersen or Andersen Global. The firm’s website as of Tuesday continued to describe it as the Indian member of Andersen Global.

Andersen Global had entered India in 2018 through an alliance with Nangia Advisors LLP, which later rebranded as Nangia Andersen LLP. The association extended Andersen’s presence in India and gave the Indian firm access to global clients and resources.

The reported move will make Nangia Andersen one of the few large Indian professional services firms to step away from an international network. The firm, founded by Rakesh Nangia, provides tax, regulatory, and advisory services through offices in Noida, New Delhi, Gurugram, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Dehradun.

ETCFO has reached out to Nangia Andersen for confirmation. Their responses were awaited at the time of publication.
