Matthew Perry’s Father Reflects on His Son’s Heartfelt Final Request

Matthew Perry’s father, Keith Morrison, recently reflected upon their close bond. Morrison opened up about Perry’s dying wish, which was to be remembered for helping others rather than just for his role on Friends. He recalled how doctors had warned the family multiple times about Perry’s precarious health and chances of survival. In the days leading up to his death, Morrison noticed that Perry seemed “at peace” and had been reaching out to family more often to express affection. This change in behavior suggested to Morrison that it might have been a premonition of what was to come. Perry passed away on October 28, 2023, at the age of 54, and an autopsy later revealed that he died due to the “acute effects of ketamine.”
