102 years old, Kokichi Akuzawa has once again defied age and expectations by climbing to the summit of Mount Fuji, setting a Guinness World Record as the oldest person ever to do so. With the support of his daughter, family, and friends, the centenarian completed the 12,388-foot climb on August 5 after months of preparation. Having first broken the record at age 96, Akuzawa says he doesn’t climb for fame but for the joy of the mountain — proving that determination and spirit can push beyond human limits. Watch.
