Imports of soyabean also declined drastically during the year at 0.25 lakh tonnes(6.25 lakh tonnes). The crop size, as estimated by SOPA during 2024-25, stood at 125.82 lakh tonnes(lt) (118.74 lt).

Soyameal exports

For the October-June period, the soyameal offtake from feed sector was down to 46.50 lt (50.50), while the food segment saw a marginal improvement at 6.16 lt (6.05 lt).
