India allows export of 500,000 tonnes of wheat flour

India on ​Friday allowed
500,000 ‌metric ​tonnes of wheat flour and related products to ​be
exported, the ⁠government said, as supplies ​have ⁠improved in the
world’s second-biggest producer ‌of the ‌grain.

New Delhi had ‍banned wheat exports ‍in May 2022 after a
scorching heatwave curtailed output ⁠and pushed domestic ​prices
to record ⁠highs.
