IIMA Ventures has partnered with Jaivel Aerospace to launch an Aerospace & Defence Acceleration Fund, aimed at backing early-stage startups developing across autonomy, advanced materials, advanced manufacturing, and secure communications.

The fund plans to invest in 8–10 startups, providing pre-seed and seed funding of up to $400,000 each, along with structured mentorship, access to cutting-edge development facilities, and opportunities for direct collaboration with aerospace industry leaders.

IIMA Ventures has previously backed several aerospace and defence-focused start-ups, including Sagar Defense, ePlane, Ideaforge, NabhDrishti, Nopo Nanotechnologies, and Onnes Cryogenics. It also has a strong space-tech portfolio of around 14 ventures, featuring Agnikul, PierSight, Galaxeye, and Bellatrix.
