Hyderabad to host World Aquaculture India 2025 meet from Nov 11 to 13
The World Aquaculture Society (WAS) is organising an international conference and exposition – World Aquaculture India 2025 at Hyderabad International Convention centre-Novotel from November 11-13.
Countries from the Asian-Pacific region and around the world will be participating in the event, covering all aspects of aquaculture. The Marine Products Export Development Authority will also be conducting a parallel session with the theme “Harnessing India’s blue revolution for export growth in aquaculture”.
A press release issued here said that aquaculture has increasingly important role in meeting the global demand for fisheries products as the world population continues to expand and fisheries stocks approach their biological limits. The session organized by MPEDA aligns with its commitment to the sustainable utilization of fishery resources for export purpose, and focus sessions such as Export Oriented Aquaculture; Strategic Development Focus Stakeholder Consultation with the concerned agencies on aquaculture production, process and export sectors; Focus on Innovation and Expansion of Aquaculture; Marine Product Export Potential of States; Value Addition and so on.
Experts will share their ideas experience and success stories to meet the global challenges faced by the seafood export sector and take it forward to new heights.
MPEDA hopes to generate productive recommendations for the responsible growth of this industry based on the interactions during these sessions, the release said.
