Four new Vande Bharat Express trains! Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Saturday flag off four new Vande Bharat Express trains on important Indian Railways’ routes. Vande Bharat Express trains have become the face of new age railway travel in India, with an aim to offer a more premium and faster train travel experience over short to medium distances.The new Vande Bharat Express trains will run on: Bengaluru-Ernakulam, Varanasi-Khajuraho, Lucknow Junction-Saharanpur, and Firozpur Cantt-Delhi routes. The all air-conditioned Vande Bharat Express is a self-propelled train set that can run at a maximum speed of 180 kmph, though the maximum operational speed is 160 kmph on permissible stretches. The chair car service has several aircraft-style features such as personalised reading lights, bio-vacuum toilets, ambient lighting etc. Some of the other features include automatic transit doors, fully sealed gangways, European-style seats, rotating seats in the Executive class, faster acceleration and deceleration, wider luggage racks, emergency call back buttons, modular mini pantry etc.We take a look at the routes, stoppages, and timetable of the new Vande Bharat Express trains:
