Food and Land Use Coalition to organise Food Systems Summit in December

This year’s summit will focus on the production value chain, deep diving into practices and successful models of sustainable and regenerative agriculture.
The Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU) will organise ‘Food Systems Summit India 2025: Marketplace for Ideas’ in New Delhi on December 16 and 17. The summit is a national platform for practitioners, researchers and academicians to showcase their work in the food and land use sector.
A media statement said the aim of the summit is to promote peer-to-peer learning across geographies and agro-ecological / agro-climatic zones in India. This year’s summit will focus on the production value chain, deep diving into practices and successful models of sustainable and regenerative agriculture.
Presentations are invited in the form of posters on the following sub-themes: Seed and breed stock management; Soil, nutrient and water management; Pest, weed and disease management; Crop harvesting, loss and residue management; Livestock and fisheries management.
All FPOs, research institutions, universities, ICAR, KVKs, experts, and farmer groups, including women farmers in different agro-climatic zones engaged in sustainable production practices, can apply. It said that September 12, 2025 is the last date for application.

Inaugural edition of the Food Systems Summit was held in 2024. It brought together over 250 delegates from 19 States and four countries, and showcased 81 studies and working models on various aspects of the food systems, ranging from production and distribution to nutrition.
