Union Minister for Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu inaugurated Udan Yatri Cafe in Vijayawada airport on Monday to provide snacks and beverages at an affordable price beginning from ₹10.

Speaking after the inauguration, the Minister said the vision of the NDA Government at the Centre was to provide inclusive flying, making air travel more convenient, accessible and affordable for all. 

The first Udan Yatri Cafe was inaugurated in December last year at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the historic airport. Later it was also set up at Chennai airport early this year. 

These cafes have been received well by travellers expressing high satisfaction with the quality, taste and cost of the offerings. Following immense passenger demand, the initiative is now being expanded nationwide. The prices of water and beverages is at ₹10 while snacks such as Samosa and sweets are sold at ₹20.
