Union Minister Ram Nath Thakur launches Innovative start-up products from ICAR-CIFT

Ram Nath Thakur, Union Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare has launched a range of innovative products developed by incubates of the ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (ICAR-CIFT).

This included an innovative functional food — Collagen Honey Peanut Butter — developed by Parayil Biofarm Pvt. Ltd under the technical guidance and incubation CIFT.

The new product combines premium peanuts and high-quality collagen into a protein-rich spread. This health-focused offering supports joint health, gut wellness, and muscle recovery, and is free from added sugar, preservatives, or artificial additives, making it ideal for fitness-focused and health-conscious consumers, said a press release.

The Minister also launched ready-to-eat food products developed by another Incubate firm Fudcy Foods.

By adopting advanced retort processing technology through technical collaboration with CIFT, Fudcy Foods produces shelf-stable, preservative-free products that maintain their nutritional value, food safety, and authentic taste at room temperature.

The launch of new products underscores the commitment of CIFT in fostering entrepreneurship and delivering high-quality, safe food solutions to the market.

Through its Zonal Technology Management & Agri-Business Incubation (ZTM-ABI) Centre, CIFT supports entrepreneurs in transforming innovative ideas and technologies into market-ready products and creating sustainable fisheries-based enterprises.
