Ceigall subsidiary gets green light for ₹981 crore highway project
Ceigall India’s subsidiary, Ceigall Ludhiana Bathinda Greenfield Highway Private Limited, received the appointed date from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on September 29, 2025, to commence work on a ₹981 crore highway project.
The project involves developing a 6-lane access-controlled greenfield highway section of NH-754AD between Ludhiana and Bathinda. The stretch spans 45.243 kilometers, from the junction with Moga-Barnala Road near Tallewal village to the Delhi-Katra Expressway junction near Ballowal village in Ludhiana.
The highway forms part of Package-2 of the Ludhiana-Ajmer Economic Corridor under the government’s Bharatmala Pariyojna Phase-I initiative. It will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Model, with construction scheduled for completion within 730 days, followed by a 15-year operation period.
Ramneek Sehgal, Chairman and Managing Director of Ceigall India, said the project will improve travel convenience, enhance logistics efficiency and support regional development. He emphasised the company’s focus on execution excellence.
The announcement follows Ceigall’s recent joint venture with JSPPPL, which secured a ₹509.20-crore contract from GMADA for road development at the Aerotropolis township project in Mohali. These projects strengthen Ceigall’s position in India’s infrastructure sector, particularly in connectivity and regional development initiatives.
The shares of Ceigall India Limited ended today on the NSE at ₹262.75 down by ₹0.48 or 0.18 per cent.
