Allcargo signals succession plan as founder’s son Vaishnav Shetty elevated at Global arm
Allcargo Group has taken a clear step towards leadership succession with the elevation of founder Shashi Kiran Shetty’s son, Vaishnav Shetty, as deputy managing director of Allcargo Global Ltd (AGL), the group’s international supply chain business that is being readied for a separate listing.
Vaishnav Shetty, who has also been inducted onto the board of Allcargo Global with immediate effect, will work alongside Adarsh Hegde, Managing Director of Allcargo Global, stated an official release from the company. “Vaishnav’s appointment reflects our commitment to build a strong leadership framework, capable of driving sustainable growth, operational excellence and digital innovation in an increasingly competitive global logistics environment,” said Shashi Kiran Shetty, Founder and Chairman, Allcargo Group, adding that his progression underscores the group’s focus on leadership continuity and long-term value creation.
The appointment has been approved by the board and comes ahead of the proposed listing of Allcargo Global, following the reorganisation of the group into four independent entities, the company said in an official release here. AGL accounts for about 80 per cent of Allcargo Group’s annual revenue and houses its international supply chain business, which has been demerged as part of the group’s ongoing restructuring exercise.
Vaishnav Shetty joined the Allcargo Group in 2017 and has held multiple roles across the organisation. Most recently, he served as chief digital officer at Allcargo Logistics, where he led the group’s digital initiatives, including the development of its freight and logistics technology platforms. He has also served as executive director – North Asia at AGL, overseeing strategic initiatives in the region.
