Adani Wilmar faces ₹41.99 lacs penalty under Uttar Pradesh GST Act, ETCFO

Adani Wilmar Limited has received an order, levying a penalty of ₹ 41,99,465/- equivalent to the tax demand under the Uttar Pradesh GST Act, 2017, according to the exchange filing.

Deputy Commissioner of CGST & Central Excise Division, Lucknow has levied a penalty under the Uttar Pradesh GST Act, 2017 in respect to transitional credit availed in form TRAN-1.

The Company is likely to challenge the order before an appropriate authority.”The Company is taking appropriate steps to appeal against the said order of imposition of penalty before the appropriate authority,” Adani Wilmar said in their exchange filing.

The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
