Danish delegation visits Kandla port in Gujarat

A delegation from Denmark visited Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) at Kandla and deliberated on pathways towards zero carbon emissions, adoption of green technologies and collaborative opportunities for sustainable port development,

The delegation led by Josefine Pallesen, Maritime Counsellor, Embassy of Denmark met Sushil Kumar Singh, Chairman DPA, who apprised the delegation of the port’s initiatives in decarbonisation, renewable energy integration and green fuels. As part of the visit, the Danish delegation also visited the Make-in-India 1-MW Green Hydrogen Plant at Kandla, an official release from DPA stated here.

Adding a vibrant cultural dimension to the visit, the delegation joined the Makar Sankranti celebrations, where they enjoyed traditional kite flying with the DPA officials and employees at Administrative Office Building at Gandhidham, the release added.
