Blue Dart Express Ltd on Monday released its first annual delivery trends report, revealing that the logistics firm moved over 14,000 tonnes of cargo in a single day in July 2025, marking its busiest day on record.

The report, titled ‘India on the Move 2025,’ shows the company delivered 47 million secured parcels throughout the year and recorded 20 peak days when shipment volumes doubled compared to daily averages. Blue Dart’s vehicles covered over 2 billion kilometres by road during the period.

Tier-2 cities emerged as a significant growth driver, with a 60 per cent surge in shipments from these markets. The company attributed this expansion to rising small and medium enterprises, direct-to-consumer brands, and digital adoption in smaller cities.

The report highlighted Blue Dart’s specialised logistics capabilities, including the transport of liquid nitrogen at minus 196 degrees Celsius for veterinary vaccines and deliveries to Leh, Ladakh at 3,500 metres above sea level. The company’s cold-chain infrastructure handled temperature-sensitive medical cargo, including insulin, blood plasma, and cell therapies.

Blue Dart, part of DHL Group’s eCommerce division, operates across 56,400 locations in India, with 3,99,000 square metres of logistics infrastructure. The company reduced its digital account opening time to 90 seconds, enabling businesses to activate paperless shipping accounts rapidly.

The firm employs 626 workers with over 25 years of tenure, representing 15,650 cumulative years of experience. The data covers the period from January 1 to December 31, 2025.

The shares of Blue Dart Express ended on the NSE today at ₹5,360, down by ₹27.50 or 0.51 per cent.
