Simple Step-By-Step Guide To Make Halim Seeds Laddoo
Halim seed laddoos are simple winter sweets made with garden cress seeds, jaggery, and ghee. They support hair and skin health, improve iron levels, and give steady energy. These laddoos are easy to make, store well, and work as a small daily boost for overall strength and wellness.
Ingredients
½ cup halim seeds
½ cup jaggery powder
¼ cup ghee
¼ cup grated coconut
¼ cup chopped almonds
¼ cup chopped cashews
1 tbsp raisin
½ tsp cardamom powder
2-3 tbsp water
Instructions
Put the halim seeds into a bowl and then cover them with just the right amount of water. Give them 30 minutes to swell up and turn into a gelatinous texture.
Heat the ghee in a pan. Now add in some almonds, cashews, and grated coconut. Let them roast on a low flame for 2 or 3 minutes, just until they are lightly golden.
Take them out of the pan and set them to one side.
In the same pan, add the remainder of the ghee and the jaggery powder. Let it all cook on a low heat until the jaggery has completely melted into a smooth syrup.
Add the soaked halim seeds to the jaggery syrup. Mix it well and then let it cook on low heat for 2 or 3 minutes more.
Add in roasted nuts, coconut, raisins, and cardamom powder. Mix everything really well until it all comes together into a nice mixture.
Switch off the heat and let the mixture cool until it’s warm but still soft and slightly pliable.
If it’s looking a bit too dry, then just add a little bit of ghee to sort it out.
Rub a bit of ghee on your hands and then start to take small portions of the mixture & roll them into round laddoos.
