Heritage Foods Ltd, a Hyderabad-based dairy company, has acquired a 51 per cent stake in the Mumbai-based Peanut Butter and Jelly Pvt Ltd for ₹9 crore. The target company owns Get-A-Way, a brand that sells high-protein, no-added-sugar ice creams and desserts.
“We acquired a controlling 51 per cent shareholding in the company through secondary buy-outs from existing investors (Sky Gate Hospitality Pvt Ltd). The remaining 49 per cent shareholding will continue to be held by the original promoters,” a top company executive said.
The deal also allows Heritage Foods the option to purchase an additional 20 per cent stake from the promoters by March 2026.
“This acquisition aligns with the company’s strategic growth initiatives aimed at business expansion, diversification, and strengthening its market presence in the healthy desserts and guilt-free indulgence category,” a company executive said.
While Heritage Foods will provide strategic guidance and retain a controlling stake, operational management will continue with the promoters.
“The acquisition is well aligned with our Vision 2030. Get-A-Way’s focus on protein, no-added-sugar, and health-forward offerings strengthens our offerings,” said Brahmani Nara, Executive Director, Heritage Foods Ltd, in a stock exchange communication.
The 7-year-old target company registered a turnover of ₹18 crore in 2024-25. It clocks 8,000 orders daily across over 35 cities through quick commerce, food delivery platforms, and five offline parlours.
