King Charles Reunites With Longtime Friend From Brazil ‘One Last Time’

A heartfelt reunion, and possibly the last, between King Charles III and Chief Raoni Metuktire, the legendary Amazon rainforest campaigner. The 93-year-old Kayapo Indigenous leader traveled from Brazil to London for what’s believed to be his final U.K. visit, marking an emotional chapter in his decades-long friendship with the British monarch. At a reception in St. James’ Palace, the two clasped hands warmly, reflecting on years of shared passion for environmental and Indigenous causes. Chief Raoni, wearing his iconic lip plug and feathered headdress, has long been a global voice for the Amazon rainforest, rallying support from presidents, popes, and world leaders. King Charles hosted the event under his Circular Bioeconomy Alliance (CBA) — a project launched in 2020 to unite governments, scientists, and communities in tackling climate change and deforestation. Watch the emotional footage of the reunion in a meeting filled with history, respect, and humanity. Watch-
