Spright Agro bags ₹284 cr oilseed supply contract

Spright Agro, a leading company in the agriculture sector specialising in contract farming and greenhouse technology, has bagged a new order worth ₹284 crore in this fiscal for supply of various agricultural oilseeds from Mumbai-based Naadir Traders.
The supply agreement includes execution of five consignments in a year. Each consignment includes 3,275 tonne of natural soyaben oil seeds, 205 tonne of Celastrus Paniculatus (Malkangani) oil seeds, 1,825 tonne of dry seeds natural alsi (flax seeds) and 740 tonne of black sunflower oil seeds. It is a fixed rate contract on the annual supply basis with quarterly dispatches.
Akshaykumar Patel, Managing Director, Spright Agro said the execution of this long-term supply contract provides strong revenue visibility for this fiscal and ensures consistent supply chain utilization.
The transaction is expected to contribute positively to the company’s turnover and strengthen its order book during the financial year, he said.
Last month, the company’s board considered strategic entry into Agri-Tech related businesses and decided to initiate feasibility studies, pilots and partnership across multiple technology themes.
