Lucknow: RED.Health has forged a strategic partnership with Medanta Hospital, Lucknow, to launch Uttar Pradesh’s first 5G-enabled ambulance. The initiative, taken on the fifth anniversary of the premier tertiary care centre, is set to transform emergency care delivery in Uttar Pradesh with high-speed internet connectivity and real-time data transfer facilities ensuring super-specialist support even in transit. These state-of-the-art ambulances are staffed by trained medical professionals to provide critical care from the first response, ensuring superior emergency services even before patients arrive at the hospital. This facility can be availed by calling 1068 for emergency support anytime.Lucknow has long grappled with challenges in its emergency healthcare infrastructure, with rising population density straining available resources. The city faces a critical need for faster response times and advanced care during transport to address life-threatening situations, including cardiac arrests, trauma cases, road traffic accidents, and other medical emergencies. The association represents a decisive step forward in addressing these gaps, combining state-of-the-art technology and expert medical support to transform emergency care in the region.

As part of the collaboration, the 5G ambulances deployed in Lucknow will be staffed by skilled paramedics and equipped with advanced life-saving equipment, real-time patient monitoring systems, and a direct communication link with Medanta’s emergency specialists. This seamless integration allows for immediate medical intervention and stabilisation, improving survival rates and outcomes for patients before they even reach the hospital.

RED.Health’s 5G ambulances use SyncX infrastructure to transmit critical patient data to hospital ER teams with less than two seconds of latency. This real-time connectivity allows doctors to assess patients remotely, initiate pre-hospital care, and prepare treatment protocols, ensuring faster, life-saving interventions during the crucial ‘golden hour’ before hospital arrival.

Commenting on the partnership, Prabhdeep Singh, Founder and CEO of RED.Health, said, “Every emergency presents a race against time, and our partnership with Medanta Hospital ensures that the people of Lucknow have access to timely and superior emergency care. The integration of 5G-enabled ambulances helps transform vehicles into mobile emergency rooms, and the real-time connectivity ensures that life-saving decisions can be made instantly, with specialist consultation available from the moment our teams reach the patient.”

Dr Rakesh Kapoor, Medical Director, Medanta Lucknow, stated, “The 5G ambulance is a transformative advancement for Uttar Pradesh, reflecting Medanta’s dedication to merging technology with healthcare. Our aim is to revolutionise emergency medical response, ensuring that every second counts during critical moments.”

The partnership also involves knowledge-sharing initiatives and continuous training programmes to equip emergency response teams with the expertise to handle diverse medical situations. This collaborative approach reflects a shared commitment to redefining excellence in emergency care.
