‘Pushpa 2’ Fan Death Case: Allu Arjun Sent To 14 Days Judicial Custody
Allu Arjun has been sent to judicial custody in connection with the tragic stampede that occurred during a promotional event for Pushpa 2 in Hyderabad on December 4. The incident resulted in the death of a woman and left her son critically injured amidst the chaos. On December 5, police registered a case against the management of Sandhya Theatre, Allu Arjun, and his security team. Authorities revealed that there was no prior notification about the film team’s attendance at the premiere, leading to the stampede. Initially, three staff members from the theatre, including the owner, senior manager, and the lower balcony in-charge, were arrested. In response to the tragedy, Allu Arjun announced a financial aid of ₹25 lakh for the victim’s family. The actor also filed a petition to quash the FIR and requested a stay on all proceedings, including his arrest. Despite this, on December 13, he was taken into custody by a team from Chikkadpally Police Station.
