The Karnataka Agriculture Department has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) to establish a technology driven and data analytics based centralised dashboard for the integrated call centre — Raitha Kare Kendra.

Through this MoU, key agricultural datasets such as the crop information, weather data, FRUITS database, State and Central government schemes will be integrated and analysed to provide tech-enabled advisory services to the farmers, an official statement said.

As part of the MoU, BEL will customise its Equinox platform for agriculture applications, provide technical consultancy and support data integration.

The Department will provide agriculture-related information on government schemes and policy details to be made available through the centralised dashboard.

The project will be implemented in two phases : one-year pilot phase followed by a four-year full-scale implementation.
