Harrisons Malayalam bag 8 medals at Tea Golden Leaf India Awards

Harrisons Malayalam Ltd has bagged 8 awards at the 20th edition of the Tea Golden Leaf India Awards (TGLIA), jointly organised by the United Planters’ Association of Southern India (UPASI) and the Tea Board of India.

The award-winning factories include: Lockhart and Wallardie factory — 2 awards each , Wentworth, Achoor, Chundale and Arapetta factories — 1 each in their category .

The TGLIA competition, conducted for more than two decades, has played a pivotal role in showcasing the quality teas of South India not only at national level but at the global stage.

Santosh Kumar, Chief Executive and Whole-Time Director, HML, said: “This recognition reaffirms our commitment to producing teas of exceptional quality while upholding sustainable practices that safeguard the environment and support the communities we serve.”

The first-level screening of contesting teas by domestic jury for the 20th edition was held on March 7 and 8, 2025, at Coimbatore, coinciding with the National Convention of South Indian Teas. The final tasting session, evaluated by an international jury, was held on September 18 alongside the 8th edition of the India International Tea Convention (IITC 2025).
