NEW DELHI: Spurred by festive spirits, retail sales of cars, two-wheelers and commercial vehicles saw 32% year-on-year growth in October to 28.3 lakh units. It was 21.4 lakh units in Oct last year, according to data released by Federation of Automobile Dealers’ Association (FADA).
FADA said growth in Oct was largely driven by buoyancy in rural markets, which had a particularly positive impact on the sale of two-wheelers and passenger vehicles.
Passenger vehicle sales rose 32% to 4.8 lakh units compared to 3.6 lakh units retailed in Oct 2023. Two-wheeler sales increased 36% to 20.6 lakh units from 15.1 lakh units.
