Avigna Group opens ₹150-crore logistics park in Angamaly near Kochi

Avigna Group which has a strong presence across South India, has opened a state-of-the-art Industrial and Logistics Park at Angamaly near Kochi, with an investment of ₹150 crore.

This marks the first venture of the Chennai-based Avigna Group in Kerala. The Angamaly park, built on 21.35 acres with a built-up area of 5 lakh sq ft, features world-class infrastructure designed to boost Kerala’s logistics ecosystem. The company operates industrial and logistics parks in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. With a legacy spanning over 50 years, the Group also has diversified interests in textiles, education and real estate.

Inaugurating the facility, the State Industries Minister P. Rajeeve said that the government would extend full support to ensure local skill development for groups like Kudumbashree so that residents can find employment within their own communities.

To encourage small enterprises around large industries, the government has amended the rules, allowing up to 50 per cent of a house’s area to be used for enterprise, and in the case of vacant houses, to be fully utilised for business purposes. He said that logistics parks like these were ideal for Kerala as they promote growth without pollution.

S. Rajasekharan, Managing Director, Avigna Group, said, “This facility represents Avigna’s vision to build future-ready logistics ecosystems that drive economic growth and generate employment. The project has created over 1,500 direct and 250 indirect employment opportunities.”
