India’s aviation regulator, DGCA, has grounded an Air India Airbus A320 after discovering that the airline operated the aircraft eight times with an expired Airworthiness Review Certificate

India’s aviation regulator on Tuesday
said that Air India operated an aircraft last month with an
expired Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC), leading to its
grounding and an investigation.

The grounded aircraft was an Airbus A320, according to a
person with direct knowledge of the matter.

On November 26, Air India informed the Directorate General
of Civil Aviation (DGCA) that the aircraft had been flown eight
times after the certificate expired, the regulator said.
