12th Annual conference of Indian Academy of Cerebral Palsy (IACPCON 2017) jointly organized by IACP and Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital is being conducted at Yashada from 10th to 12th November 2017. Indian Academy of Cerebral Palsy IACP is a national body formed by pioneers – doctors of different specialities from diverse regions across the country. The aim of IACP is to contribute to the welfare of persons with Cerebral Palsy and related Neurodevelopmental Disabilities. Members of IACP are all professionals that form the team of multidisciplinary rehabilitation which is offered for children with Cerebral Palsy: doctors, physical and occupational and speech therapists, clinical psychologists and special educators.
The theme of this conference is ‘Building blocks in Early Intervention: from customary to cutting edge facts’. Conference is being attended by over 200 delegates: doctors and therapists from across India. 2 Renowned International speakers and over 30 eminent National speakers will throw light on the current research and issues on Early Diagnosis and Intervention in childhood-onset disabilities. The scientific program is rich with a keynote address, plenary lectures, many focused symposia, paper presentations and three concurrent pre-conference workshops.
As a part of this conference, a Family Forum program is being conducted for parents and families of children with special needs. It will be hosted at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital on Sunday, 12th November. Expert faculty of IACPCON 2017 will guide the parents on enhancing caregiving for children with special needs.
